At the helm of our organization, our management brings over 22 years of invaluable experience in the industry. Their extensive knowledge and proven track record in civil engineering, construction project management, and civil construction are the driving forces behind our company's success and reputation for excellence.
Sibusiso Mnyawe - Managing Director
Sibusiso is a seasoned civil engineering and construction professional with over 18 years of industry experience. He holds a National Diploma and a BTech Degree in Civil Engineering from the Durban University of Technology, completed in 2008 and 2017 respectively.
His career spans roles at leading companies such as Stedone Construction, Liviero Civils, and Fountain Civil Engineering, where he gained hands-on expertise in roads, landfills, pipelines, and housing developments.
In 2016, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, Sibusiso founded Valedict Development. Under his leadership, the company has grown into a multidisciplinary firm offering services in construction contracting, property development, civil construction, project management, and consulting.
Sibusiso currently oversees the overall operations of the business. He is also in the process of registering as a Construction Manager with SACPCMP, reflecting his continued commitment to professional excellence.
Passionate about innovation, quality, and industry advancement, Sibusiso has positioned Valedict Development as a trusted name in South Africa’s civil engineering and construction landscape.
Siyabonga Gweba- Contracts Manager
Siya Gweba is an experienced civil engineering professional with over 14 years in the construction industry. After completing his Grade 12, he pursued a National Diploma in Civil Engineering and began his career as a student technician at Fountain Civil Engineering. Over 12 years, he gained hands-on experience in roads, earthworks, landfill construction, township services, and infrastructure development.
In 2020, Siya advanced his career by joining Rokwil Civils as a Senior Production Manager, where he led bulk earthworks, layer works, and services across major projects.
In 2023, Siya brought his expertise to Valedict Development as a Contract Manager. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, managing project costs and procurement, leading project teams, maintaining quality control, and driving projects to timely and profitable completion.
Siya is currently finalizing his SACPCMP registration as a Professional Construction Manager (Pr.CM), demonstrating his commitment to professional growth. Outside of work, he is a devoted husband who enjoys running short marathons to stay active and focused.
